George Croucher

George lends his legendary voice to those who once stood shoulder-to-shoulder with him in 2010. It's a message of nostalgic goodwill that will hit many of us, delivered with his signature blend of acoustic guitar rhythms, charm and layering. It’s the second single from the seismic LP Notes About You, which George has been anxious to release for a long time now. It’s coming: 21st October.

Podcast: Mainstream, Sometimes

Where were you in 2010? George Croucher takes a moment out from releasing his amazing 2010 to talk with Cam about his coming LP, from which it comes, and to listen to some new music. Mackenzie shares her pop single After The Haze before Brain Ape join the party with their locrian delicacy, mcmi. fenchurch king.

Brain Ape

mcmi. fenchurch king. This off-kilter electronic locrian experience has already had a lot of attention in its short life. It has had the music video treatment, released in September, which is equally off-kilter and is in the process of being comprehensively remixed. After giving it a listen we can understand why people are so fascinated by it. There’s a brand new single coming too, before the year is out.

Mackenzie

Coffee not quite doing it for you this morning? Try combining it with Mackenzie’s energising pop single After The Haze for a potent morning motivator, taking the vibes of feel-good pop from across the pond and pulling it through a British filter. Hailing from Hampshire, she’s active on the live circuit, selling out from Southampton to Birmingham and has new releases (plural!) still to come this year.

Hey, Chicken

This month Cut Throat Francis return to the music-releasing party. Come 21st October, you’ll have Chicken Hands to contend with. Why is it called that? Who is Cut Throat Francis? What makes their Balkan swing so infectious? Come to their headline show in early December in Bristol to find out - or any of their shows, for that matter. Then Spencer Flay might have something cool to share - but more on that later.
