Joe Bygraves
Joe’s given us an emotionally charged four and a half minutes with Bring Me Down. It’s tense, passionate and renders the occasional major chord with maximum effect in its mostly minor world. Joe’s powerful vocals are obvious here, but do check out his other tracks over on his Spotify. Based in Bedfordshire and pecked out by BBC Introducing.

Let Cam warm your toes back up as we start off the new decade. Offerings from country pop-rock artist Phil Ashmore, funky jazzy collective Mischa & His Merry Men and charged singer-songwriter Joe Bygraves. We give you a heads-up for the new year and fill in the blanks. Grab yourself a cocoa and press play.
Phil Ashmore
Midlands maestro Phil Ashmore brought out this feel-good beauty last month. Out Of Vegas is a country-infused pop-rock spirit-lifter. We thought you needed it for the bleak midwinter. It’s from his album Nu Country, but if you can hold on until March you’ll be able to listen to his next package: I’ve Been The Beast.
Mischa & His Merry Men
Mischa & His Merry Men are a collective of musicians blaring out politically tinged bouncy folk fun. Best heard drunk in a bawdy tavern, but also hearable in this month’s show. Give Green A Chance features catchy, brassy riffs and playful lyrics, an upbeat vibe and sing-a-long quality.
Happy New Year
On to a new decade! So to recap: 2019 saw us welcome Cut Throat Francis into the fold, see them release their This Garden’s Never Gonna Grow EP, bring our artists to a whole load of festivals and trendy venues, host our second annual showcase in London and round it all off with a stellar Top 3. This year ahead will see new signings and plenty of news and releases - music never sleeps - we’ll see you there!
