Valle Hope

Surely you have be charmed by this one. Valle Hope’s long-asked-for single England is here 13th this month but you can catch a sneaky listen on the podcast. As Laura Klonowski from CelebMix puts it: “I love guitar heavy music combined with storytelling lyrics and this track perfectly marries the two.” We try to be somewhat analytical and detached with our music but I keep getting to the end of the track before I can muster the strength not to fall in love with it. Full EP August 3rd.

Podcast

From Inverness to London to Stockholm, Cam paints rather a broad brush between Valle Hope’s debut pop ballad, Gordon James and the Power with their energetic feel-good rock and Rebecca Relansay’s decadent Bondesque style. In the midst of numerous international tours and major releases, now’s a key time to catch up with the news.

Come To Our Birthday Gig

If you want the chance to see two ADSRecords Artists in one go, then our gig at the Brewery in London will be a night not to miss. Come down to Greycaine Road in Watford at 7ish on the 14th. That’s in northwest London. Right here. Pwned By Gravity will be taking the stage as part of their epic UK tour and they’ll supported by indie-funk duo The High Points. £10 on the door.

Gordon James and the Power

The northern powerhouse are back on our radar with their new single Blood. That’s not to say they’ve been idle in the meantime; they’ve kept the Inverness music scene thoroughly entertained and performed XpoNorth. How they’ve found time to record a new track I have no idea, but it’s the band (can I call them GJ  ?) at their usual best: empowering and uplifting rock. If you’re up that way, catch them at Bella Fringe this month.

Rebecca Relansay

Rebecca’s Weapon Of Love is a guilty pleasure. Its decadent 40s-style sound is at once sensual and perilous, just like eating a Galaxy naked. It’s come hot on the heels of her debut single Church Of Lies and would make an ace Bond opening, in my humbly inflated opinion. The London-based songstress describes herself as ‘vintage gothica’. Certainly not far off the mark.

The High And Low Pitches

The High Points have had a transformative few months. With their plethora of gigs and festivals lately you’d think they were pretty occupied, but they’ve taken the time to record a killer debut EP. We’ve been passing their demos between ourselves and we can tell you that if you liked Dance Delight and Disco Queen, you ain’t seen nothing yet. They’re in the studio as I speak, in the meantime, those gigs I was talking about...
